Every winter the Cod returns from the depths of the Barents Sea to the coastline of northern Norway; Skrei is Norwegian Cod in its prime; a unique delicacy available only from January to April. Skrei has its own quality standards, and only a few Cod become a quality graded Skrei!

Norwegian Cod is one of the most sustainable groundfish and it is the largest cod stock in the world.
Norway's Cod catches come from the cold, clear waters of the Barents Sea, and, for couple of months a year, the mature Cod migrate closer to the Norwegian coastline to breed.

Catch of the day
Haddock Our Haddock comes from the coastal fisheries with long traditions in longline and seine net fishery. The Haddock is caught in short distance to the plants, only hours from catch to landing. The Haddock fishery has played an important part for the small communities along the coast of Norway. For us it is not only about quality - it is a respect and passion for the queen of fishes - the Arctic Haddock!

Other wild catch In addition to our main species like Cod and Haddock, we also have a variety of fish like Saithe, Redfish, Catfish and Monkfish.
The fish is caught by day boats either as a bicatch or in short periods of the year. Supply can vary, but quality is still our priority.
